BHP
Steel Senior Championships - 16/02/03
Helensburgh-Stanwell
Park 95 years strong and the day started off with 1.5m sets,
offshore wind holding the waves right up and..................

First
heat of the reserves saw Port Kembla above test their new
boat in reverse. Due to the large surf the boat events were
then postponed to be held on a later date.

With
the boat events postponed "Rocket" called his U19
chargers back to the boat for a training row back home to
Coledale. Picture shows them punching through a nice wave
on their way out through the break. After the row back to
Coledale some of the crew itching for medals, came back up
and had a go in the beach sprints. Brett Eather pictured below
only completed his bronze weeks ago and ran gold in the U19
beach sprint. This is the first beach medal Coledale has seen
for many years. Sheldon Dawkins from Belambi was very impressive
in winning the U16 flags.

Thankyou
Helensburgh-Stanwell Park SLSC for hosting a very successful
day.
"This
is Duck 1 Do you need assistance?"
Our
Powercraft Maintenance Unit has been out and about helping
clubs keep their IRB's operational. Seen here with his off
sider "Chang" out at Coledale repairing 3 motors
that had stale fuel run through them and had caused all sorts
of problems. Jimmy listens to the clubs radio transmissions
during patrol hours and is quick to offer assistance to clubs
with IRB or motor problems.
Thankyou
Jimmy !!!

Branch

The
next meeting has been bought forward to 7.15 p.m. Wednesday
