Building Committee

Our branch building committee has started a series of inspections of Surf Clubs to determine the extent of Wollongong City Council support in maintaining our club houses and to determine priorities for the allocation of capital funds for major and minor building works. The first inspection was at Scarborough on the 16th of September. President Chris Kubara and Secretary Dianne Clarke met with committee members and John Gibbs from WCC to discuss outstanding issues.

The next building committee inspection will be on the 14th October and will commence at Sandon Point at 5.30pm before progressing to Thirroul for an inspection.

Club Licensing

There will be a briefing on club licensing at Kiama SLSC on Saturday 28th September 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The Hon J Richard Face MP, Minister for Gaming and Racing and Phil Vanney CEO SLSNSW will be present at this briefing.

Hon J Richard Face

This briefing will be similiar to the excellent session presented at the recent Presidents and Captains conference. Please support this initiative to assist with club licensing by having representatives from all Illawarra Clubs in attendance.
